Beauty And The Diet Pill:-Acomplia

Remember the Doublemint gum commercials? There were generally twins in the commercials and they would each 'toast' a pack of Doublemint gum together and say, 'Two mints in one!' ('Double mint'.) Such is the new diet pill currently being tested which not only helps smokers kick the habit, but helps in losing weight simultaneously!

These exciting promises that are shedding a potential happy light over the near horizon are compliments of a French firm, Sanofi-Synthelabo. The drug, rimonabant, would be sold as Acomplia impending i) conclusion of current studies on the effectiveness of the diet/smoking pill which may take up to two more years, ii) US approval of the diet/stop-smoking pill, and iii) the surrender of all french fries contained within the US borders. Whoops - where did that come from? Ix-nay on bullet point iii).

How Does Rimonabant (Acomplia) Work?

In layman's terms, by reprogramming brain circuitry.

What Health Benefits Does Rimonabant (Acomplia) Tout?

The human guinea pigs achieved an approximate 20 pound drop in weight in a 12 month period; cholesterol levels improved; and of course, smokers laid down their rods.

Although Rimonabant (Acomplia) offers great potential for smokers and dieters alike, all drugs come with health risks. On the other hand, so does smoking and obesity - now being cited by the Health Community as the 2 top contenders for 'controllable risks' when it comes to fatalities.
